Our Squad program aims to transition swimmers from casual swimmers to competitive swimmers.

Junior Squads

Bronze Squad

Introductory squad, main focus is on learning turns and basic squad training structure.

Silver Squad

Increased training distance, strong focus on skills, turns and training structure.

Gold Squad

Further increased training distance, high focus on skills, turns and training endurance. This squad aims to improve swimmers level of fitness in preparation for Development Squads.

Development Squads

Langman Squad

The beginning of our Development Program. This squad begins the transition from the learning of squad skills, to developing these through to more specific training techniques for each stroke.

Bastian Squad

For swimmers who have reached a good standard and are ready to take the next step in their training to prepare them for competition. Bastian swimmers have the choice to extend themselves by registering with the Norwood Swim Club for competitive swimming.

Senior Squads

Cowdrey Squad

Our first actively competitive squad. Swimmers are to regularly compete in internal and external competitions. All Cowdrey Squad swimmers must be registered Norwood Swimming Club members.

Hill Squad

It is an expectation for all Hill Squad swimmers to actively compete and to aspire to national age level. We view participation in swimming club activities as an integral part of training as a Hill Squad swimmer.

Performance Fitness Squad

For swimmers who have come out of elite programs and aim to keep their fitness levels up.

National Age Squad

For swimmers aspiring to compete in National Age Championships.

National Open Squad

For swimmers who aspire to compete at National Open Championships.
